Unique offering of the famed Simmons Café & Marketplace
Operating as a local favorite since the 1800’s

“Simmons Cafe & Market is one of those, small, unique places… once you find it, you know you’ve found a special place and you’ll keep going back - for many reasons”

Simmons Café & Marketplace reinvented the historic F.A. Simmons Store that had been a staple establishment for locals and visitors since the 1800’. It’s prime location in the heart of Adamsville Village, at the junction of Rt. 179 and Rt. 81; a highly traveled intersection between South Tiverton, Westport and Little Compton making it the most visible and highly traveled commercial offering in the area. Originally a modest country store offering milk, bread, necessities, where you could grab a quick soup, sandwich, coffee, or seasonal ice cream, has been re-imagined as a lively café & marketplace featuring natural & organic foods, locally sourced products, a robust lunch menu, ice cream and offers beer and wine by the glass. They have brought life to the Village, offering community events, music, featuring local artists and a place to meet friends for coffee or catch up on life using their public WIFI.

The current owners, who had local ties to the area, had a vision and wanted to keep the concept historically similar with an upscale modern twist. Over the course of 8 years, they have held Friday Night Live music and dinners, serving anywhere to 80-100 people in the back garden. These events were wildly successful and are sorely missed since 2020. They also ran a very successful organic produce CSA Delivery Service, offered lounge seating, and were open 7 days a week from 7-7pm. Post 2020 the hours have been reduced, interior seating has not been resumed and the outdoor events on hold. There is a huge opportunity to take the amazing market & café to the next level.
